In addition to our popular air and sea freight services to Africa we also provide a motor vehicle shipping service to various countries. This service is known as ro/ro (roll-on/roll-off) and is illustrated in the photograph. Your vehicle is simply driven onto the vessel where it is secured in transit by straps until arrival at the destination port, where it is driven off. Standard saloon car - £825.00 4x4, small van (Ford Escort etc) - £900.00 For all larger vehicles such as Transit vans, lorries, trucks and buses etc. please contact us with actual dimensions and weight of the vehicle for an accurate quotation. In most cases the departure port is Sheerness, Kent. The client is responsible for arranging delivery of the vehicle to the port. Tudor will supply the relevant documentation required to deliver the vehicle to the port. The cost quoted is a port to port charge only. The client is responsible for arranging customs clearance and collection of the vehicle from the port of destination. They will also be responsible for ANY charges incurred after the vehicle arrives at the destination. There are regular sailings to each destination every few weeks. It is permitted to load items into vehicles destined for Durban only. All items are loaded entirely at the owners risk and there is no insurance cover available for either vehicle or goods. We would generally advise against loading any items inside the vehicles in case of theft or damage. Our agent in Durban is able to provide onforwarding services to other inland African countries such as Zimbabwe. Please ask for details. For all bookings we will require a copy of the vehicle's V5 form (log book) and payment in full before shipping.
